Frequently Asked Questions about the Open Access Period
Can I tell my friends, or do they have to work in the field of clinical nutrition?
Certainly! The journal content is free for everyone during the trial period! In addition to JPEN and NCP, SAGE is opening up over 750 other titles, so your friends in other fields are sure to find something they will love.
What happens at the end of the trial period?
If you are not an A.S.P.E.N. member or do not have access to JPEN and NCP through your institution, you will lose free access to the journal content. However, you can still purchase single articles online through SAGE Journals.
What if I want access to the journals after the trial period ends?
Easy. Just become an A.S.P.E.N. member and all articles ever published in JPEN and NCP will be just a few clicks away! Or, find out if your institution can subscribe to the journals for you!
What do I have to do to get free access?
It’s simple. Just make sure you register with SAGE Journals. From there, you should be able to cruise around for your favorite articles in tube feeding, clinical nutrition, metabolism, and other hot topics relevant to your practice.
What else is available through this free trial?
SAGE is offering lots of exciting freebies this month. Be sure to check them out!
Can I use the mobile apps for free?
Yes!*Just search for JPEN or NCP in the App Store and you should be on your way. Never before could you fit so much research on clinical nutrition into your pocket!
*Please note, the JPEN and NCP apps are only available for Apple products at this time. Check back at a later date for updates on accessibility on other devices, as this may change.
