The Clinical Guidelines published by the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (A.S.P.E.N.) are among the top-read articles published in the Journal of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (JPEN). Every day, the Guidelines assist nutrition support practitioners in real on-the-job situations as they strive to improve patient care. A.S.P.E.N.’s Clinical Guidelines represent a cornerstone of the Society’s efforts to promote and disseminate state-of-the-art clinical nutrition.
A.S.P.E.N. is seeking a new Clinical Guidelines Editor-in-Chief to lead the rigorous process of defining clinical guidelines. Outgoing Editor Dr. Charlene Compher is transitioning to a position on the A.S.P.E.N. Board of Directors. A.S.P.E.N. wishes to congratulate Dr. Compher on her new appointment and thank her for her tireless dedication to managing the Guidelines initiative over the past five years.
